The appointment of the Director of the Slovenian Book Agency

At the session of 24 January 2013, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia issued the decision to appoint Aleš Novak as the Director of the Slovenian Book Agency, to begin on 15 February 2013 with a term of five years.

Between 2007 and 2009, Aleš Novak served as the Director of the public institution Maribor Youth Culture Centre (Mladinski kulturni center Maribor). In the autumn of 2009, he became the Director of the Culture Youth Office of the City of Maribor. In 2010 he was the Acting Programme Director of the Institute Maribor 2012 – European Capital of Culture. From 1997 to 2007 Aleš Novak also worked as a self-employed professional in the field of culture and as an editor in the cultural editorial team of the Regional Centre Maribor of RTV Slovenia.
