This year the Books at Berlinale programme included the presentation of Slovenia, Guest of Honour at the Frankfurt Book Fair, and the presentation of their 11 selected titles.

The Programme was opened by Jürgen Boos, Director of Frankfurter Buchmesse, and Adam Henning, Head of Books at Berlinale Programme.
The event itself was hosted by Syd Atlas, who has a global and reputable knowledge of books and literature.

Senja Požar from Slovenian publishing house Mladinska knjiga received a strong attention with the presentation of Dijana Matkovič's book Why I Don't Write.
Katja Stergar, Acting Director of Slovenian Book agency, presented the project Slovenia, Guest of Honour at Frankfurter Buchmesse 2023, its literature and links with film.
The event was attended by a large number of producers, agents and journalists and also joined by Slovenian Ambassador to Berlin Dr Ana Polak Petrič, Head of SKICA Berlin, Saša Šavel Burkart, Director of Slovenian Film Centre, Nataša Bučar, and Head of International Cooperation of the Slovenian Film Centre, Nerina Kocijančič.
