More than 20 events with Slovenian authors at this year's Leipzig Book Fair (15-18 March 2018)

The Leipzig Book Fair starts on Thursday, 15 March 2018. We kindly invite all interested literature aficionados to visit events with Slovenian authors at the fair and throughout the city of Leipzig as part of the "Leipzig liest" festival. You can find the Slovenian national stand at the Fair in Hall 4, D503 and fetch the program folder there or download the PDF (in German) here: Slowenien auf der Leipziger Buchmesse 2018.

Among the presented authors with recent book arrivals are Sebastijan Pregelj, Andrej Skubic, Alma M. Karlin’s (1889-1950) biography, Cvetka Lipuš, Anja Golob, Slavoj Žižek, Aleš Šteger and more.

One of the highlights will be the bestowal of the Fabjan Hafner Translation Award for the best translation from Slovenian into German, on Friday at 3 p.m. on the stage of the International Forum (Hall 4, C505). The award winner for 2018 is Johann Strutz for the translation of the novel by Florjan Lipuš, entitled Mirne duše (Seelenruhig, Jung&Jung Verlag, 2017).
