Honey Hour with Miljana Cunta

Description: Slovenia, the Frankfurt Fair Guest of Honour, presents itself with the motto “The honeycomb of words”, reflecting the important role of beekeeping and poetry in the country. A series of morning events will connect honey with the verses of each poetess. To start the day as poetically as possible, each of the poetesses will first read a few of her own poems, and then choose two poems of other, often deceased authors who are represented in the anthology of Slovenian lyric poetry Mein Nachbar auf der Wolke (Hanser, Deutsche Akademi 2023). The German translations of the poems will be read by Matthias Göritz, who will also be talking to the poetesses together with Amalija Maček.
