Description: Near us lives a girl; she doesn't have nice clothes, her own room, and she doesn't even have a real name, or at least not one we can pronounce. And now, suddenly, she's completely gone. But she left us a treasure that no one expected. There are always children who are overlooked, affected by language barriers, poverty, or being different. The poignant text and delicate images in this picture book tell, without sugarcoating, how discrimination arises and encourage reflection.
Slovenian author Ida Mlakar ÄrniÄ has once again delved into the deepest feelings of the youngest. And of everyone else too.
