Translating from Slovenian into German: A Festival of Translators

Participants: Liza Linde, Erwin Köstler, Lars Felgner, Ludwig Hartinger, Metka Wakounig, Matthias Göritz, Alexandra Natalie Zaleznik
Moderator: Tanja Petrič

Summary:
Introduction of the most important translators from Slovenian to German.

Description:

Translators are important literary intermediaries, especially in Slovenia, where there aren’t any literary agents. They uncover, recommend, and translate interesting works of modern and classic Slovenian literature, oftentimes also interpreting conversations with authors. This is why numerous translators are also present in Frankfurt, including experienced colleagues like Erwin Köstler and Ludwig Hartinger as well as those, who are increasingly establishing themselves in this field: Liza Linde, Lars Felgner, and Matthias Göritz. They will introduce themselves through a relaxed conversation.
