Description:

Alida Bremer is one of the best translators from Croatian to German. She works alongside her husband Ali el Baya. Carlos Pascual is a Mexican author, who lives in Ljubljana, and is married to Mojca Medvedšek, who translates his work into Slovenian – his writing is considered to be original Slovenian work. Both will recount their experiences. Does the emotional closeness of a partnership benefit the formation of the translation or does it sometimes also hinder it? The conversation, which will be moderated by Iztok Ilc, will be held in English.
