TRADUKI is a European network that connects the countries of Southeast Europe with each other and with the German-speaking world through the means of literature. The network includes members from Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Germany, Montenegro, Liechtenstein, Romania, North Macedonia, Slovenia, Serbia and Switzerland. Slovenian Book Agency has been the Slovenian member of the network since 2009.

In addition to the Slovenian Book Agency, members of the network include the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria, German Federal Foreign Office, Swiss Arts Council Pro Helvetia, the Austrian Association of Translators IG Übersetzerinnen Übersetzer (Literaturhaus Wien) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Arts, Culture, the Civil Service and Sport of the Republic of Austria, Goethe Institut, S. Fischer Foundation, Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia, Ministry of Social Affairs and Culture of the Principality of Liechtenstein, Cultural Foundation Liechtenstein, Ministry of Economy, Culture and Innovation of Albania, Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Culture of Romania, Ministry for Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Montenegro, Leipzig Book Fair, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia and Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Bulgaria.

TRADUKI supports translation of fiction, contemporary non-fiction, and children’s and young adult literature from the 20th and 21st centuries and facilitates various forms of exchange among the participating countries. In addition to providing financial support for translations and copyright costs between languages of the members, as well as for literary residencies and events, the network is also an important organiser of literary activities at several major international book fairs (Leipzig, Frankfurt, Vienna).

Slovenian Book Agency works with the network in organising diverse events, fair presentations, training programs, and residency centres. Meetings between authors, translators, publishers, librarians, literary critics, and scholars aim to foster the exchange of information and promote closer cooperation on both the European and interregional levels.
