The Slovenian Book Agency (JAK) collaborates with various organizations dedicated to the development of reading culture and educational processes, supporting and connecting their activities. Through public tenders, we finance numerous programs and projects aimed at fostering reading culture across different target groups, while also actively participating in various initiatives and projects in this field.

In collaboration with the Reading Badge Society of Slovenia – ZPMS, we coordinate the field of reading culture within the national cross-sectoral project for cultural and artistic education, Cultural Bazaar.

As partners, we also participate in the National Month of Reading Together (NMSB), a nationwide campaign to promote reading and strengthen reading culture, organized by the Reading Society of Slovenia, the Reading Badge Society of Slovenia – ZPMS, the Slovene Writers’ Association, Maribor Library, Kranj City Library, Ljubljana City Library, the Slovenian Section of IBBY, the Slovenian Association of Library Societies, and the Slovenian Association of Public Libraries.

As partners, we are also involved in the national cross-sectoral program to encourage reading among young athletes, #športajmoinberimo, organized by the Olympic Committee of Slovenia and led, as of 2024, by the France Bevk Library in Nova Gorica.

The Reading Badge Society of Slovenia – ZPMS, in collaboration with JAK, established the Intergenerational Reading Project, in which JAK continues to participate as a partner organization.

We also work with relevant state institutions, primarily the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education, and the National Education Institute, to shape cultural policy aimed at promoting and developing reading culture.
